Default Keely, Hogan, "The Holder" (Brum) & Kersten Hallander

Thanks to former Top LPRA PRO Kersten Hallander (AustinNRG) for this photo. Kersten thinks it is circa 2002 taken in San Diego at the annual Sorrento Valley Paddleball Tournament.

From L to R:
Steve Keely, Marty Hogan, Charlie Brumfield ("The Holder"), Bill Stevens, Kersten Hallander, Joe Siemienowski and a person to be named later.

Now that's a great shot! I love the wooden paddles.

I can't wait to get back to Sorrento Valley for another paddleball tournament.

Me too! Several in the Michigan pball contingent are making their own sticks - made from actual stick. There's nothing like the loud "pop" of a handcrafted Kirkconnell paddle...

I still have a box of Pitcher's in my garage. The new composite paddles from The Paddle Co are awesome and I have to say they do give you an edge.

Maybe we should get the NPO to do a wooden paddle only tournament!

Yeah, that's why I play an Iceman... 'cause I need every edge I can muster. But it is amazing what some of the elite players can do with those holey fraternity spankers!

Now, just a little more edge, here and there each season, and before you know it - we've got a full-on tech war with rollers and FAT zones and unobtanium and fireballs - we'll be playing rball!
