Default What do you say?

Hi Coach

Kane is the man the beat in 2010. All the other players struggle just to take a game from him. I'm not disrespecting the other players either. Kane is the Federer of racquetball.

If you were coaching a top player (Jack, Rocky, Alvaro, etc) what would you say or do to beat Kane?

If you were coaching a Kane caliber player, what coaching tactics would you use for a guy who is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition? Is there a different training regime you would use? Finally, how would you as a coach keep a player like Kane from getting distracted?

Hi Coach

Kane is the man the beat in 2010. All the other players struggle just to take a game from him. I'm not disrespecting the other players either. Kane is the Federer of racquetball.Agreed--but ask Federer what advice he would give Nadal to beat him. I wonder what the answer would be--hahaha--

If you were coaching a top player (Jack, Rocky, Alvaro, etc) what would you say or do to beat Kane? hahaha--yeah--uh--will flick this one up to the ceiling--but will say--check out my videos and lessons--www.fugu.com--racquetball and soon I will be making more instruction public as I work for USA Racquetball. Or attend the elite camp--the instruction is not secret and evolved from San Diego via--Dr. Bud , Dave Peck(my mentor) to Cliff Swain(coached by Dave Peck I might add) to Kane. I still confer with Dave, a personal friend and the best instructor I ever met.

If you were coaching a Kane caliber player, what coaching tactics would you use for a guy who is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition? ugh--have to take a pass again--Is there a different training regime you would use?I cannot answer that as I do not know their training regimes--in fact--I do not know Kane's training regime--and do not need to know it--the less I know--the less I talk( I do coach racquetball players for a living) --we operate on a "need to know" basis--like the military- Finally, how would you as a coach keep a player like Kane from getting distracted? I cannot keep a player from being distracted--only that athlete can do that--Kane has set goals and works to meet these goals--all of these guys are pro racquetball players--they are all focused on winning and they want to succeed and if you check their past records--they all have plenty of titles and championships. They all are great players and if you do not believe me--challenge one of them ranking #20 to #1, to a money match. Only Kane can keep Kane from being distracted !! These are great questions and ones I get asked a lot. Be sure you get out to Canoga Park and watch him this weekend.
